The Sun the Bench and the Triangles

I love the color of the sunlight as the day goes away, the golden hour they say. It is the second best part of the day, the first will always be when I see G.
The sun came through the leaves and turned them such a nice color, I am so glad I looked up.

I just love this part of the day, and since it wasn't 119 degrees today, there were actually other people out today. When I see people talking I always wonder what they are talking about, are they in love? Speaking the speak of love? Are they an old married couple talking about what's for dinner and how the kids didn't fuck up at school today? Or are they planning the crime of the century? What do you think?
Finally the triangles, I wasn't going to put this one up today, but I had to cuz I already had the title of the post done. Even though it cooled off today (a wonderful 98-99 maybe?) there were still no kids on the playground. An empty playground is a very sad sight, but I did get to play around there for a bit. Thats where I found the triangles. Here they are.
Would have been better if there were a kid at the end, but there wasn't, so thats that.

I hope y'all had a great day cuz I did

Texture Day

Today I was out doing stuff and I drove by a building I have driven by a million times before
Today I saw it. Funny how you can go back and forth and never see what is right there in front of you.
I was thinking, what a cool place to put a bar and live upstairs, then I noticed the textures and colors against the white of the building. It was the textures that really attracted me to the building, not the bar factor. I shot a bunch of pics, and decided I liked this one best, so this is the one you get.

One of the things I had to do today was go by a house being renovated in the Heights, I am documenting it for the builder and they are tearing it out now. I went in and took some pictures inside and what do you think was inside?
Yes, more textures!! Imagine my surprise and delight, not only do I get to use this on my blog, but I get paid for it too!! I know what you're thinking, this isn't such a great picture, but well its not supposed to be. I am shooting these pics to look bad, so that as the house starts looking good the pics make it look even better, get it

Well there you have it. today's snaps

I hope you had a great day today
I did!

Soccer Night in Sugarland!

Ok, not really, just practice.
G was at practice and I needed my picture today, so...

This is a weird one, I titled it "Weirdness" it's a picture of G through the goal net, I liked the reflection on the piece of metal, and G was in the background. So what else is there to do but shoot?
You see, it is very hard to get a picture of Gabriel these day, I have to sneak up on him, shoot quickly, and then hide the camera. He hates me shooting him and I think I know why, I was looking for a photo in iPhoto and it was asking me to choose which face was G's, well... it found 6,473 pictures of Gabriel. I think he is just sick of it.

And then there is the walkway through the park, the sun was going down , and you know...

Not the best picture I've ever shot, but a fun one just the same, I love how the bright blue trash cans, mix with the golden sunlight along the walkway. ahem

And then there was the dad, just a picture of a dad watching his kid play soccer, it's a nice thing to see out here, since 99% of the parents just drop them off so they can have a break.
Kind of sad, but true just the same.

Well there you have it, not just one brilliant photo, but three ok snapshots for today

You guys have fun, I will!!

Sofie Gabriel & Tanya

Yesterday was Sofie’s 18th Birthday.
Tanya asked me to recreate a photo from when Sofie was a baby, it’s a nice way to spend the day.
I thought since everyone was in the mood, I would shoot one of Gabriel and his mom also, so, today I got a twofer.
My family  is also a perfect way to start off this project
Have a great one! I did.

Little Bitty Spikes

Well...
The day got away from me today. But in my defense it IS Sunday, and that is supposed to be the resting day!.
But I did make another blog for someone, got my nephew, brought him over to play with G, did stuff,  got crickets for Spike.
So when I was getting crickets for Spike (G’s giant dragon), I saw a cage full of little baby Spikes.
This is the part I am justifying, I used the iPhone to shoot the little buggers.
I did stay true, it’s just a little bit of a letdown after yesterday’s picture.
Well anyway, Have fun today
I will!
